Parking on Pavements

Residents are reminded not to cause an obstruction by parking on pavements as this could be reported to the police. Residents are reminded that pedestrians with pushchairs and mobility scooters should be able to travel along the pavement unheeded. Consideration of people with visual disabilities should also be taken into account.

Pothole Reporting to Doncaster Council

Auckley Parish Council would like to inform residents that they regularly report potholes throughout the parish through to Doncaster Council. Unfortunately, the potholes that are being reported do not reach the criteria for action set out by Doncaster Council’s policy. We will continue to report on behalf of residents and encourage residents to report also.

Newly Accessible Defibrillator within the Parish –
New College, Hurst Lane

Defibrillators are valuable resources which help to save lives. There are now five located around the parish: at Riverside Park, Hayfield Park, Auckley School, the Eagle & Child pub and the new addition at New College on Hurst Lane.

Auckley Parish Council worked alongside the New Collaborative Learning Trust to facilitate the addition of this accessible defibrillator on the front of New College. The Parish Council would like to thank the college for making this defibrillator available to the public.

Hayfield Park Play Area Consultation

Auckley Parish Council recently engaged with Auckley residents regarding s106 funding. The Parish Council have considered the responses and suggestions and will prioritise a 4 seat swing set as part of their funding application, followed by a roundabout with ‘ride on’ space for a wheelchair. Suggestions from residents included fencing between the play area/car park which the Council will now look in to.

Thank you to all that responded to the consultation.
