Auckley Parish Council Newsletter: November/December 2022
Remembrance Day
The Parish Council laid its annual wreath at the War Memorial in Blaxton as part of the Remembrance Service, marking their respect for the fallen.
The Council would like to thank residents and retailers who produced displays throughout the village.
Planning Applications Webpage
The Parish Council have added a Planning Applications page to their website: planning-applications.
The new page lists current planning applications from the Auckley Parish allowing them all to be viewed in one place.
The information is being provided as information is no longer viewable on lamp posts.
Further information and details about applications can then be obtained from Doncaster Council.
Heritage Lists
Help is needed- both the South Yorkshire Heritage List and national Heritage List require help to obtain information.
The South Yorkshire Heritage List lists ‘heritage assets that are valued as contributing to the distinctiveness and history of South Yorkshire but that are not protected by statutory national designations’.
They require any information about the old married quarters e.g. when they were built, who by, what designs and materials were used, what ranks lived where etc.
Information is also sought about the hangars and runway, along the same lines.
Please email: ronnie.dobson@hotmail.com with any information. All information will gratefully be received.
Carol Service
The Parish Council are organising a Carol Service outside the Eagle & Child on Tuesday 13th of December from 7pm. Live music to accompany the singing will be provided by Armthorpe Elmfield band.
Wishing all residents a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
