Precept
The Parish Precept is the money collected by DMBC on behalf of the Parish Council and used for the benefit of the residents of Auckley. The Precept for 2022/23 is £44,000.
Neighbourhood Plan Update
The Parish Council formally approved the draft Auckley Neighbourhood Plan at the Parish Council meeting on the 9th February 2022. This means that the Plan can now be submitted to DMBC under Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations. During this stage, DMBC will further consult the draft Plan for 6 weeks and seek to appoint an independent examiner to check the Plan meets the necessary set of Basic Conditions.
Once the examination process has concluded, a final version of the Plan will then be produced and a public referendum organised.
Thanks to all who have helped to produce the Plan.
A Big Thank You to Residents
The Parish Council would like to thank all of the residents who have acted voluntarily and in their own time, to help to keep the village looking tidy. Residents have been seen tidying verges, litter picking and clearing pathways and with their efforts, it makes Auckley such a nice place to live.
Footpath Adjacent to the River Torne – Update
The Parish Council would like to report that following concerns raised by many residents about the flooding, it is in regular contact with DMBC regarding the footpath next to the River Torne. Unfortunately, DMBC are unable to provide any help at this time.
